Tracy Bike Life is Coming to TLC!

Posted Date: 02/20/26 (03:41 PM)

We are excited to announce a new partnership with the Tracy Bike Life Youth Program!

The Tracy Bike Life Youth Program provides a safe and fun place for youth ages 7-17 years to learn bicycle safety, repair, and maintenance in a self-esteem and team-building atmosphere.

The program utilizes curriculum that introduces students to important Science, Engineering, Technology & Math (S.T.E.M.) skills including mechanics, engineering, units of measurement and conversions.

Bicycles are donated from the Tracy Police Department, the Salvation Army, and from members of the community. At the end of the program, students get to keep or give away the bikes that they fix.

The program is open to students in PCS, DCS and MHS and is completely cost-free.  And the best part about it is TLC will be hosting Tracy Bike Life on our very own campus. The next cohort is scheduled to start on March 3, 2026.

Thank you,

Thank you for the overwhelming interest in the Tracy Bike Life Youth Program! Cohort 1 starts today. If you did not get selected for this cohort, do not worry, there will be many more to follow. This is just the beginning of this new partnership!

To be able to expand cohort numbers, Tracy Bike Life is looking for volunteers. If you are a like minded bike enthusiast who is interested in becoming a volunteer instructor, contact Melinda Ramirez at melinda@tracyearthproject.org.

Thanks!
