DCS Band and Color Guard!

DCS Band & Color Guard Sign-Ups!

We are excited to offer Band and Color Guard to our DCS students this school year! Please note the grade-level requirements for each program:

Students interested in participating must turn in their signed participation contract by this Friday, August 28th to their homeroom teachers. 

Band and Color Guard will meet every morning during Homeroom and Enrichment. In addition, Band students will be pulled from class at least twice a week later in the afternoon for additional practice. Students who choose to participate are responsible for communicating with their teachers and making up any classwork or assignments they miss while attending Band.


Joining Band or Color Guard is a yearlong commitment that requires regular attendance, participation, practice, and attendance at scheduled performances. Students participating in these programs will be exempt from completing their SWO project and, for 7th/8th graders, community service hours while they remain actively enrolled. If a student chooses to leave the program or is removed for not meeting expectations, they will be responsible for making up the SWO assignments and applicable community service hours they missed.
